October Fashion on a Budget Coords

Like always, I'm full of plans. Working a lot and an internship. The plan now is to go to Japan in March. So with that in mind, I'm trying to save up as much money as possible. Also network with some Tokyo-based bloggers to meet up with and get their view of the city. Lose some weight too cuz I'll be taking a lot of photos. This trip in march is just a sampler to see if I truly want to study abroad in Japan. As much as everyone keeps making Japan seem like the best place in the world, you never know till you experience it yourself.

So if you are going to Japan in March, let me know. Also in a couple of days- Galoween (gyaru x halloween) in Manhattan is supposed to happen. We don't have enough people as of yet, but if you want to meet up anyway. Also let me know. Just leave a comment below or on my facebook page. We can cordinate from there.

Now Lets Talk Fashion
September into October had a lot of fashion going on. As you know, we came out of fashion month and moved into Halloween month.  I got inspired, saw some weird, and over worked myself into exhaustion.

Every few weeks, I take some of my paycheck and spend it on fashion. It's a necessity for me. I need to look chic for the things that I do, however it has to be extremely affordable. It's hard to shop through the sale racks too. Fast Fashion items aren't meant to last. If the item is on sale; it means its from one or two seasons ago, its not faring well with sales, or "just can't give it away". So most sale items are either fugly or you just wear it once and it hides in your closet until you throw it away. So I hunt mostly for cheap stores versuses sale items. Cheap stores like conway, prices are already discounted to under $10 and with good care, the item will last longer then it's expected lifespan.

My motto is: If it's more then $12 bucks and its not designer, it's not worth the buy. Exceptions to this rule will be clothes from discount resellers like Marshalls and Burlington then I cap off at $20 (more exceptions at the end of this post). Even clothes from HM and New Yorker which are mid-price are made from cheap fabrics so why pay the price for something cheap??

My favorite outfit :)
Top: Conway ($5)
Skirt: HM (sale) ($10)
Socks: Conway
Earrings: Charlotte Russe <3 p="">Hat: (which was my favorite thing in the world until I lost it =__=) Conway

I honestly don't get any respect as a blogger because I'm always posing in my school's bathroom lol

Jacket: Forever 21 (sale price $15)
Scarf: Charlotte Russe ($5)
Skirt: Jcpenny (gifted)
Tights: Dots (idr)
Booties: Dots
Sunnies: Midtown Manhattan Street Vendor ($5)

I'm obsessed with that scarf okay

Cardigan: Conway ($7)
Burgundy Leather Leggings: Forever 21 ($10)
Scarf: Charlotte Russe ($5)

Blouse: Conway ($7)
Skirt: JCP
Tights: Dots
Boots: Dots
Earrings: Charlotte Russe

Voila same outfit, 2 ways to wear it.

Now the last one preludes into some of the things I've been doing.

Blouse: Forever 21 (sale $15)
High Waisted Shorts:  Thrifted
Tights: Social Apparel (2.99)
Jewelry: Charlotte Russe

For girls like me, who continously buy clothes no matter how big my wardrobe is. There is no reason to pay the extra price for clothes. Stay cheap, look chic.

Other exceptions to the cap-off rule:
Items that are classics (things that aren't going out of style for a long time; i.e jeans, cardigans)
Quality fabrics (you can fee the difference)
Speciality Designs (i.e spray painted t-shirts)

Hopefully these tips help you :) Good luck and Stay Chic

P.S 1 step closer to my tech dreams:

My new laptop

Now I just need a dslr camera and I'll be happy.

Fashion Post #3

Lately i've felt so adult,

First weave
First eyebrow wax
First credit card
First clubbing event

A lot of firsts and stuff. So I got back on my A game. Getting fashionable ready everyday. Doing some new stuff, touching some old. Everything has yet to fall in place.

Pics are from iphone so sorry for mehh quality.
Top and shorts- Papaya
Jewelry- Ebay

Top and shorts- Agaci
Jewelry- Forever 21

Top- Papaya
Skirt- Forever 21

Stupid me, was holding down the shirt and took away the peplum shape.
Top is from Papaya
Pants are from Forever 21

Sorry. I was sweating from clubbing lol
Romper- Agaci
Tights: 99cents store
Best thing about all these outfits? Not one piece costed more than $20 bucks. Well i think the romper was $30 but all these outfits were relatively cheap.

My current favorite stores are Agaci and Papaya. Forever 21 has fell out of my favor in their lack of ability to provide stylish spring clothes at my kinda price. Papaya has so many cheap cute clothes, it does well for my shape and brings color back in my wardrobe. Agaci is quite pricey but their clothes makes it so worth it. Its cute, chic, and gives more of a oneegyaru vibe. My only problem is their lack of a color palette. It's not the store's fault. The black and white theme is what's popular now. But I do like my florals and different expansions of color.

Top: Forever 21
Skirt: Non name brand
Shoes: Charlotte Russe

 Top: forever 21
Bottom: Forever 21

I always post my fashion pics on instagram @moonangelko
#ootd you guys might find me from that

To me, fashion is simply expressing who I am. Sometime I don't want have to express it. Sometime I do. Either way, I have to put money where my mouth is and in the words of Tim Gunn "Make it work"

Fashion Inspo

So right now, I'm focusing on fixing up my blog so bare with me. I'm trying to work with nuffnangx which is a bit frustrating  It doesn't want to work on neither my phone or tablet and the comment app that was supposed to load on this blog isn't working. -__-" but I am a big overall supporter of nuffnang. I've been eyeing for a day that it'll one day be in the U.S.  Then my layout probably very cumbersome for people who don't have fast processors (I experienced it firsthand on my netbook). So many little things to work out.

I wanted to post this a while ago, but you already know the girls who go Tokyo Girl's Collection inspire me a lot more then actual models. Since I'm always going out and shopping for a new clothes (for super cheap), I took a look at these pics before I went black friday shopping.

Picture credits to Tokyofashion.com I did buy a lot on black friday. Of course we all know, appearal shopping on black friday is super tough. Because you don't want to buy anything that isn't at least 50-70% off. Clothes are going to be on sale anyway after christmas, so you don't want to buy any rip off on the black friday hypes. That being said, sweaters, leather clothing, and other must haves for this season were NOT on sale. Sad for me, because that stuff was what I really wanted. However wardrobe basics were on sale. At Forever 21 clearance items even got an extra 50% off. So most of my $5-$8 skirts became $2-$4 once I got to the cash register. CRAZY right.  So I did find a lot of good buys. But the better deals are online for stores like Forever 21. I am paitently waiting for Monday's free shipping deals 0.o

Batman signia on a leapord pullover? *Dies in heaven*

Yea, sweaters like those were definitely not on sale -__-"

Outfit I want most.... Not on sale on Black Friday at all.

EDIT: NuffnangX conversations started working after I made this post....SO, I'll post a entry more about NuffnangX tomorrow :)

Insta-Dump

It's a real shock that my viewership was so high and now it dropped so low...again... It's really my fault. I stopped blogging. I rejoined the real world, full of working people with such busy lives that taking the time to write a couple of sentances every other day has become a hassle. Then homework just adds onto that stress. FML to the max and all the homework I've managed to not do. Actually, I don't even recall the last time I did homework at home. When I get home, I read some manga and some blogs then go to sleep. Then I wake up super early so I can twitter stalk some singaporean bloggers. I come to realize that I have a boring life... Well not really, I just don't get to share my life much since I don't own a camera -___-". Black Friday should change that.

So to bounce back into the blogger scene I'm going to dump some photos here from my instagram and facebook.

#Disneyworld: I have a ton of photos from Disney that I have yet to edit. But I made a collage of the most memorable moments for me. Going to Disney was a great experience and it was honestly a very beautiful place.

#Permitphotoday. I used my sister camera for this. The quality was too high to add any filters onto this LOL. But I think photowonder lowers the quality anyway.
