Navel Piercing

I was never too into the whole body modification scene. I always did think tattoo were cool but I never imagined that someday I would get a real one. I always did have a morbid fear of pain. When I was younger I remember accidentally watching LaToya Jackson spazzing out while getting her belly button pierced so I was always scared of piercings. I had my lopes pierced since I was young and no longer remember any discomfort. My parents are also firmly against any type of body modification. My mom's always trying to dissuade me from everything with the craziest excuse (like piercings hurt a whole ton and the area is just gonna get infected and fall off) but this is the same person that told me that splits would rip my vagina and heels would make my period worst because I'm tall (btw I'm only 5'6 I'm not monster tall).

There is nothing wrong with being regular height
It's not like I always wanted my belly pierced. I always wanted a monroe piercing or a nose piercing and even a tongue piercing. Belly piercing was just something that was just floating around me consistently.

My favorite blogger, Xiaxue had one.

The Queen Beyonce has one.

Two of my friends got theirs done recently so I started to like em but I had one problem... Err fat stomach.
The surest sign of a ratchet.

I literally spent over a year deciding on this. In the end,  I was like, it's my body, fuck it and let me do whatever I want. Belly rings are super cute and I wanted something that would cover my ugly belly button.

So without my mother knowing knowing, I took the train to Fordham, Bronx after class (the day after the train derailment on a close by train line wtf) and went to a piercing place walking distance (Marion's Tattoos) from the station. I got to the piercing place and they told me the piercer left for the day FML. I was so pissed because I had set up an appointment and everything and I wasn't planning on returning to Bronx anytime soon. I remembered that many people mentioned Hectors as where they got piercings done. There's even youtube videos up from people's visits at his parlor.

He was really cool and very thorough in explaining everything. Took 5 minutes and he only charged me $25!! In the metro-suburbs that I live in it cost $35 plus an extra fee for the jewelry. The pain wasn't much but it was a tid bit sore all day (mostly because my stomach rolls were bouncing piercing back and forth every time I sat down. The best part is Hector recommends to back for a check up in 3 weeks and he gives you 2 free rings if you do as well as change the ball/ring during the session. To avoid an infection I will probably only change the ball.

The instagram pic I posted that day. I also had my tat touched up.
I'm super stressed about avoiding getting sick and keeping the piercing clean (which has already proven to be a challenge). So far, I've been doing good and it's no longer sore. My only concern is that I dance so the sweat and the constant core movement might effect my healing process.

Me dancing the week I got my belly pierced, no photoshop wtf.

Usually my belly ring is more of a private thing and I dont show it off.
What's next? Maybe I won't punk out of getting my industrial, maybe I'll even get my nipple pierced (haha fuck no, me=morbid fear of pain). Who knows whats next on the spontaneous-living-for-the-moment-college-life.

Why do I read so many Singaporean Blogs?

I read more in the Singaporean blogospere then the American blogosphere! I think Singaporean tend to have more interesting blogs. It just so happens to be like that.
When I was younger, I use to watch a lot of videos about hair and makeup. I wanted to learn how to put on false lashes so Xiaxue was the one recommended to learn from (it still took me forever to learn).
I learned photoshop from her and everything. So I use to watch her videos all the time. Then her videos came off of Youtube and I had to watch them on clicknetwork.tv website. It was about that time I realized she had a blog. I had no care for blogs at the time, so it was interesting to see such a thing. The American blogosphere is basically non-existent. Every online celebrity seems to be on youtube (and the ones I like seem to all be Asian! Why are Asians so good at everything?I hate them all!!!!................... I kid, I kid!)  so this was rather refreshing. And she is funny, so it keeps me reading.  I read through many of her posts from over the years, so I guess I know a lot about her. This is when I really learned what a "true" fan was. I guess I am one! Even though she hates me... I did do a post about it but I don't know how it got deleted. We got in a spat on twitter and I meant by what I was saying that she was beautiful the way she is--> plastic surgery and all<--- and I guess she misunderstood. Either way, I think I am blocked by her on Twitter ='(.
From reading a lot of Xiaxue's posts, I came to like Cheesie (who isn't Singaporean but oh well).  Cheesie is super nice and has a really cute fashion blog. But unlike other fashion bloggers. Her blog is worth reading and not just about the pictures.  I guess this why I hate American blogs. They only blog about their niche. Their blogs are all neatly laid out and business-like (not saying my blog is better then theirs! My blog is crap!) These two have been a major aspirations of mine. Not because they have an awesome job, but they do what they love without sacrificing themselves into business clothes and working in a little cubicle. I shutter at the thought of me working in a cubicle. But like  I said American blogosphere is not really there---> unless you count these people.
Arianna Huffington -Huffington Post -News and opinion

Brian Clark -CopyBlogger – Online Marketing advice about building authority with your online presence.
So the idea of me becoming a pro-blogger and not having to work in an office is non-existent.  I read Fourfeetnine too but she's not Singaporean! I'll make a post about them because they are suppose to be separate from these other bloggers!

So a while ago Xiaxue  posted a link on twitter to Qiu Qiu's blog. I never paid much mind to Qiu Qiu because she talked about Singaporean shopping. One of her particular blog post was talking about this lady called Silver and was about 10,000 words. The post was compelling (even though I skimmed through a little in the end). I realized  that Qiu Qiu called this chick out and at the same time gave the nicest good-bye gift:  HUGE AS HELL PR. Funny thing is Silver isn't unpopular and isn't fat. She is just less famous than Qiu Qiu and of course Xiaxue.   But she could climb in popularity if her blog stood out. That's all she needed.  Qiu Qiu just gave her that opportunity.  Hopefully she re-emerges as a nicer person as well.  So this is where I start reading Qiu Qiu, who is actually a really good story teller and evidently a VERY nice person.
From Qiu Qiu, I learned about Yutaki. OMG he is SOOOO BISHIE... I who thought that real life bishies are just models from a far off universe unreachable to all normal people. But I read the beginning posts of his blog... Like all good readers do---> read from THE BEGINNING, you learn more about a person that way----> from reading my beginnings you learn that I AM A HUGE AS HELL IDIOT..... <----Not the point lah. His blog change view on photologs. Photologs tell a story a different type of way and his photologs are interesting. I love how he cherish his friends so much and he's your everyday guy. It's just the fact he is gorgeous and his pictures show a sense of humor. A true photographer right?
From Yutaki I learned about Miyake Wong and Eric Lim. Miyake (whose name I may forever misspell =_=) Is SO DAMN GORGEOUS *girl crush*.  But I still have much to find out about her. I haven't really gotten a chance to read through her blog yet.  So still much to know about her. Her make-up style isn't same as mine (I prefer natural-ish falsies with a large variety of eyeshadow styles) but fashion-wise we think alike.
Eric, I've seen on Xiaxue's blog once and I find him funny and probably be an awesome guy-friend, right?  I'm in process of reading his blog down, his blog is quite kay kay.

I also read Dawn Yang (to learn how not to blog; she is so damn boring) and Ester Xie (cuz her pics are cute). I started reading Sophie Willocq but I have yet to get interested. Plus Kelly Konomi (her giveaway drove me there but her blog is quite cute as well.)

Sniff Sniff, I smell a series coming on and Yutaki inspired me to do a project called "Reintroduction" so you'll see it soon!

Is my blog boring? Well Dawn Yang is

So does anyone know who Dawn Yang is? Its okay if you don't, she is a Singaporean blogger. Anyway, every now and then, another blogger mentions her, the hype rises, then sinks, then no one ever remembers her again. Except if you follower because apparently she is a celebrity blogger (??!), I know, I didn't believe it myself either. Whatever. Anyway for like how many years, I always knew her as some chick Xiaxue hated. Simple reason being that she plagiarized, making fake accounts to comment on her blog and glorified herself. I knew all these things but never really cared for her. Of course I knew the rumors. It's really funny how much evidence they managed to stack. I mean there is a blog dedicated to it. About 3 years ago it got to it's climax. Xiaxue's and this blog seem to have let it go.
Finally today, 3 years later, I read her blog. I read about of 10 posts before knocking out into deep sleep. I never been so BORED in my whole god damn life. Like JESUS WOMAN SAY SOMETHING INTERESTING AT ONCE. Seriously, if I read the whole blog, I would of shot myself. I'm seriously. Yeah, she travels alot. Goes to fantastic places and has lots and lots of pictures but nothing really worth reading. I mean I can least tell myself I'm still really young and not expected to write like a true blogger just yet, but come on! She has been blogging since 2004 and still can't write   a worth reading blog post.  She might as well go M.I.A and go to some creative writing classes.

Ummm.... okay

I swear sometimes when I talk to people I feel like I say stuff too many bad stuff unintentionally. Especially online.... today was one of those days I really messed up... I forgot twitter isn't like facebook where your convos are public and you can have a group discussion so I messed up big time....T_T

@ I am sorry I didn't mean to, you don't have to get offensive

Big problem right.  And I am a fan of Xiaxue and I really don't like getting people upset. I part of me is like okay wow someone is on her period but the other side is upset and feels guilty.. The guilty side is the big side. I guess she is mad about all the people talking shit about her jaw and her ass.  But people been saying that for years I guess she's sensitive about her body. OH NO..... now it sounds like I'm bashing rather then feeling guilty...... Oh crap...... I need to learn how to keep my mouth shut. Xiaxue if you ever read this I am sorry sincerely sorry.

My thoughts on Xiaxue

So I thought I would talk about Wendy Cheng because she had a recent revival among haters with the Michelle Phan thing and I've been thinking oh my god, people get a freakin life.

So I always watched her Guide's to Life interesting episodes and never bother to read her blog. I only read it recently and it's pretty good. She has personality. Then I've read the hate posts and I was like get off her cock and let her rock.

Okay I agree she looked better with her natural hair color but do you guys tell all the countless gyaru make-up wearer they put on more make-up then a clown? Do you  tell Kim Kardashian to stop with all her make-up? No, you let em rock (except all those no life losers).

Okay the photoshoping thing. She photoshops.... wow.... like no one else in the world doesn't do the same damn thing. She isn't ugly or is she fat. As far as I seen from the guide is she is short so she must work the hardest to keep her weight off and she does this rather successfully.

As for her blog. She is famous is she not. You just wish you were famous and your blog was the number one most read. Meh, people these days.
