Spring 2012 Trendbook

Spring is almost upon us. Well we upbeat fashion lovers already know the style reports. Not everyone is on top of it or really care. Last week 3 friends and I couldn't go to New York Fashion Week but wanted to see the Delia's local fashion show. We went but missed the show. So with very little money between us we decided to do "pic and dips". We went to several stores in the mall and created some looks, took pictures, returned the clothes, and left. Some stores don't allow it, some stores encourage it. It also depend who you are. It's like food blogging, so free publicity in some sorts?

Wet Seal Spring 2012

Idk why but alot of girls don't know a good thing or two about dressing for your body. I'm a apple shape. My weight doesn't stay at a certain size for more then 6 months. I tend weigh 20 lbs heavier at the beginning of spring then it would be at the end of summer. In the fall, I maintain my weight but by winter, I stop exercising and become fat. All this fat tends to center around my stomach, and my boobs stay about the same size. So if I don't dress properly, I'll get asked stupid questions like "How many months are you?" and stuff.  If you are anything like me save yourself the problem---> just wear clothes that hide your curves and layer. 

Hollister Spring 2012

Hollister doesn't give much variety in styles. Their style are typical, overpriced and can be just as easily found at Aeropostale, Aberocrombie, and Pac Sun. We went into the store anyway because the store interior is nice and we had the luck of snagging a huge dressing room. 

Charlotte Russe 

I hated Charlotte last winter but for spring, we came to terms with each other. She had a lot of Liz Lisa Cheat Ones, and color blocking and more variety of styles. We had fun abusing the dressing rooms but I can tell we pissed off the girl working her shift at Charlotte. 

Forever 21 Spring 2012

Forever 21 out of all the stores we went to, had the best spring line, I feel. Though we didn't really take advantage cuz, we only raided the first floor of the 2 floor mega store. But we did get some cute looks.

And we concluded our dressing room raid with F21.  We didn't really take full of advantage of all F21 had to offer but rushing through dressing rooms with the mall closing with 2 hours is not an easy task. We got tired!

Plus poor Loverboy had to wait outside every dressing rooms waiting for us to finish!

 Has anyone ever told you that a Forever 21 superstore is like Heaven?

Music Artists that need to do something different

I know you guys HATE when I talk about celebs but I think I can predict whose career is ending. For the most part music these days have the tendency to really suck. It's catchy but no one is really original. Youtube has much more originality then most artists these days.

1. Nicki Minaj
Career Status: It's going to be over soon.
Why?: Nicki Minaj is a collaboration artist to her core. It's rare for her to have a good song that has no one else on the track. Yes, there are some exceptions. But lately her latest tracks, her image, and everything else has been riding on that train toward the end of her career. The problem is all the things that made Nicki Minaj a star are slowly being erased by this Lady Gaga-like style. Her songs are becoming riddled with sex and nonsense. What happen to the Nicki Minaj who wanted to be an inspiration to teenage girls? How can she inspire teenage girls when she has had one nose job too many and beyond realistic boobs and ass. I use to be a OMG Nicki-fan but now, it's time for her to crawl in a corner.

Super rant corner:

WTF.  The song Stupid Hoe is probably the dumbest thing I ever heard in my life. AND Nicki was way more prettier when she first came out (before nose jobs and lipo and her second ass job and her original boobs). I'm pro-plastic but there is a broad difference between beautiful and just too much. Her old style I feel was more down to earth and we--the fans-- don't only want an entertainer but someone who is realistic. Nicki Minaj need to takes some steps backward.

Was she trying to get at another female MC? All she did was make a fool of herself.

2. Madonna
Career Status: Should be retiring
Why?: Madonna is one of my favorite artist of all time. However her newest song did not hit the spot. It was a complete waste of her talent. The song was completely out of touch with musical talent and reminiscence of the garbage we hear daily on the radio but worst. The video in turn was tasteless and amateur. Madonna is a 50 something years old, why I am seeing her boobs? Madonna is one of the greats---no doubt about it--- but there is nothing wrong with falling out of the scene after you hit the high point. Madonna already has hit the high point and has did a successful come back just a few years ago.  She shouldn't mar her career with a horrible song.

Despite this I will ALWAYS love Madonna and I will still love the Old Nicki. I can only hope that their careers will take a turn for the better.

My Blog's Birthday Passed- Let's celebrate

                               I realized my life isn't so boring afterall. A matter-of-fact I have so pictures I never blogged about. I have so much to say. But......

In 2011.....

1. I became an aunty to the most cutest thing in the world

His name is Gabriel <3 

He used to look like an alien

But now he's just adorable 

He was born from my bomb-shell sister

2. I decided babysitting wasn't soo bad

3. I decided to hang out more with friends

And the year  has only just begun but there is so much more to be said and thought. 

And my face was not Photoshopped at all in any of these pictures. A rare gift to my readers---> mostly I was too lazy to photoshop them.

So my blog birthday passed in December. I want to say thank you to those readers who stuck with me and hello to all my new readers. I had photos for so long that I always wanted to blog about but I guess this is the best way to get rid of them without being a complete photospam. Lol.
