The Most Tatted Generation

I got my first tattoo :)

I'm actually trying to stay hush about it. My parents are very against body modification religiously and I will not here the end of it when they do find out. For Caribbean parents it doesn't matter if ur an adult or not, they still own you. I think many of you could relate.

I kinda did this on impluse. An impulsive desicion I do not regret. An accquaintance of mine has a beautiful rose tattoo covering her shoulder and I thought I just had to get one. So I decided let me scope out a cheap and good tattoo artist to do a simple small one.

My sister's boyfriend just happened to be the man of the moment lol. He had done many beautiful roses before so I decided, I might as well go to him. In the end, instead of a small tattoo, I got a tattoo that was bigger than my fist for only $60. That was an insanely good price. The Haitian in me still tried to wager down to $55 but Rubens stuck to his guns despite the blackmail I had piled up against him lol.

I came up with the sketch and Rubens got to work. It took about less than an hour and it wasn't really painful. Waxing my eyebrows was more painful. Then again,  the place I went to get my eyebrows done had no mercy.

Me new tat was so chio that I felt all pin-up and rockabilty mode. I did my hair in an old school updo and did pin-up style makeup and dressed a way to give a nod the old school. I went to a fashion show that night (my first red carpet event) showing off my fresh new tattoo.  Sorry for the fat face guys, next time I'll remember to edit my pictures lmao.

So as I was getting interviewed at the fashion show, I was asked what this tattoo meant to me. Off the top of my head I said, "External Beauty. It's a reminder no matter what people say, I will always be beautiful."  So much better than "I saw it on someone else so I decided I wanted one."

Don't get me wrong, I always wanted a tattoo. The one I wanted was a tramp stamp of a butterfly and a crescent moon. It's the symbol of one of my character from my stories and I always felt so intuned with that character almost as if I was her (except less dramatic lifestyle and wayyy more rational). But being as I fear pain and I don't want to be labelled as a tramp while I'm still this young, I will wait till the book releases before I get the tattoo.

What's next for me and my tattoo?

Well once this baby finish healing I plan to start working out more, and get into modeling. Maybe do a little action on Godsgirls or just be more out there in general here on this blog. I already got inspo from pinterest.

I think in general tattoos spark quite a bit of  sexiness in people. I think in general people are just way more sexier when they have a tattoo. I do remember that there was a time a girl with a leopard print tattoo on her boobs came into the my place of employment and my crush was oogling her so much. I do admit, she was really attractive, but i think seeing her resparked my interest in tattoos. The rockability of it all, its just engulfing. I used to really be into Scene so this was not anything new.

Not to mention, now that I got a tattoo, men with tattoos just got hotter in my eyes. I mean well, they were already hot lol.

Just hope that one day, I am sexy tattooed blogger that I always wished to be lol.  And btw we are a very tatted generation. One day while working Drive-Thru at Micky Ds I saw so many people with visual tattoos, you could only imagine how many people had non-visual tattoos. So that 14% of the population with tattoos must be a lie in the Tri-State area, more like 30-40%

A lot of firsts and stuff. So I got back on my A game. Getting fashionable ready everyday. Doing some new stuff, touching some old. Everything has yet to fall in place.

Best thing about all these outfits? Not one piece costed more than $20 bucks. Well i think the romper was $30 but all these outfits were relatively cheap. 

My current favorite stores are Agaci and Papaya. Forever 21 has fell out of my favor in their lack of ability to provide stylish spring clothes at my kinda price. Papaya has so many cheap cute clothes, it does well for my shape and brings color back in my wardrobe. Agaci is quite pricey but their clothes makes it so worth it. Its cute, chic, and gives more of a oneegyaru vibe. My only problem is their lack of a color palette. It's not the store's fault. The black and white theme is what's popular now. But I do like my florals and different expansions of color.

Stila All-Day Liquid Eyeliner Review

Hello Lovetts,

Now you guys know I am a drugstore girl. Lets be honest, I can't afford to splurge. Splurging is for girls who work above 7.25. That being said, I got lucky and been gifted several Sephora items last Christmas season. I was quite upset tho, because for the life of me I could not find my Stila Liquid Eyeliner which I lost the very same day I got it.

Which led me to buying the Maybelline Masterpercise which along with the other maybelline eye products I love so much.

The stila was an adjustment for me. I hate eyeliners that don't come in a marker shape. This was in my beloved marker shape but it took me a while to get the hand of winging my eyeliner with this eyeliner. It had such a sharper point. It took practice (unlike with the maybelline) for me to symmetric winged  eyes. I have way more mess ups then success that it became habit to have my hair cover one of my eyes. Its always my right eye that has the mess up. Also at first, they eyeliner use to irrate my eyes when I put it on. It no longer does that now that i've gotten use to it.

Despite my shortfalls with they eyeliner;  I love the shape of the pen. I have more room to fix of mess-ups  and it's really precise. I can try more wing designs then I was able to before.

The best thing of all is it really lasts 24-hours, no smudge and really waterproof.

So overall I give this a 7. It took me some time  to get use to it. That's a lie, it's still taking up time.  But it has just joined the official list of my daily products.

Now some photos of me wearing the eyeliner. But I guess you can barely see it lol cuz the lines are thin.

From Zero to Hero

This a slightly failed project my friends and I started working on in January. So this (ignore my opening comments) is pretty much a daily look that I do.

I was second guessing whether or not should I post this because I don't want certain people seeing my completely makeup-less face.  I did have some problems with lighting which I didn't figure until towards the end.

Also I will NEVER do a voice ever again. I have a lisp. It became most apparent when I did the voice over.

Next time I'll use a tripod stand rather then have someone film me. Shaky camera etc. Also not enough zoom ups. Also lot of bad angles *cringe*

All the negatives aside. I did like the end product. I looked gorgeous in the end and quite the opposite from the beginning. So yea, it is a zero to hero look.

I going to be a little more active on my youtube very soon guys. If you guys started following me way back, you might remember that I wanted to start a webshow. Well we finally started filming and you might see the see first episode within the next two weeks. It's going to be a lot of work! There is so much film already and it was only the first day and it's going to be a week of filming and picture taking!

Well I'll be filming the first two episodes this week. Hopefully my editing skills will get better with the end of the week.

Hair Chalk on Relaxed/Blown out hair

On a roll with blog postS. Since today was a snow day and I didn't have better things to do decided I wanted to try something new with my hair. I don't dye my hair. Even though I currently don't do perms any more and I survive on blowouts, I fear the amount of chemical processing that dying requires esspeacially layered up with my already chemically processed hair. So a while back I was so envious of Cheesie for doing this cute streak color in her hair.

So I was at Hot Topic the other day and I saw this little thing.

I asked the girl who worked there about it. She said it works and was the one who selected this brand for me.

Review:  The chalk for the most part does it's job. However it crumbles and creates a huge mess. Also it takes a lot more work putting on the chalk. In comparison to maybe a spray. I also feel like the chalk doesn't really stick to my hair. If I run my hands through my hair, I will have a lot of purple on my hands. The color lacked vibrance too.

So I rate it a 5/10. Next time I'll use a spray and use a red color.
